This holiday season, two small businesses are coming together to infuse the metro area with festive joy, creating unforgettable memories for children.
Local design boutiques Artfully Overjoyed and Courtney Ethridge Lettering & Design have announced the return of their seasonal offering—creating personalized letters from Santa Claus himself.
“The Santa letters were conceived as a way to establish a cherished holiday tradition that families can anticipate each year,” explains Courtney Ethridge, the creative mind behind Courtney Ethridge Lettering & Design. “Our love for sentimental keepsakes drives us to collaborate annually to create something new, making the holiday season even more delightful. As a calligrapher and stationer, I’m thrilled to help Santa spread joy with exquisite, custom letters that families will treasure for years to come.”
Ethridge partnered with Addie Morgester from Artfully Overjoyed to launch their Santa letters in 2022.
“These Santa letters offer more than just holiday greetings—they are personalized mementos that reflect each child’s individual story, crafted with elegant calligraphy and custom-designed stationery,” Ethridge shares. “With each letter, kids experience a special bond with Santa, and families receive a heartfelt keepsake to revisit year after year. It’s a way to infuse magic, warmth, and joy into the holiday season, creating lasting memories.”
When ordering for $20, clients share details such as their child’s name, age, notable achievements, and areas for growth.
“We take joy in crafting these letters as they allow us to keep the spirit of Christmas vibrant and share in the enchantment children feel during the season,” says Morgester, who designs new stationery for the Santa letters each year. “It’s incredibly heartwarming to celebrate their unique successes and glimpse into what today’s children are excited about—it’s like stepping into their magical universe!”
Santa letters can be ordered until December 13 and include a personalized handwritten note from Santa along with an official “nice list” certificate. Each letter comes in a holiday-themed envelope, embellished with custom calligraphy, stamps, and envelope liners. The letters are shipped in a sturdy mailer, allowing parents to preview the keepsakes before surprising their little ones at just the right moment.
“Receiving letters from Santa is a magical holiday tradition that allows children to feel truly special and recognized,” Ethridge remarks. “This helps maintain the wonder of Santa, particularly for kids who might be on the cusp of questioning, while also promoting kindness and highlighting their growth. These letters serve as heartfelt memories that unify families and embody the true essence of Christmas.”
