Chuck E. Cheese Adventure Zone to open in St. Louis in 2025

Nearly everyone has a memorable experience at Chuck E. Cheese. Whether it’s the divisive cheese pizza, the animatronic figures, or the tempting prize shelves, countless generations cherish moments from this famous chain.

For today’s children, the beloved family entertainment entity has officially unveiled its latest active play innovation, Adventure Zone, which is set to debut at locations nationwide in 2025, including St. Louis. This new attraction will merge Chuck E. Cheese Trampoline Zones with a fresh Ninja Run obstacle course, providing a dynamic, engaging environment where kids can play, climb, and jump.

As detailed in the press release, Adventure Zones are crafted to promote physical activity in a secure, stimulating atmosphere for children. The Ninja Run obstacle course offers youngsters a chance to enhance their agility by facing various challenges that encourage confidence and healthy competition. The recently launched Trampoline Zone caters to younger kids, giving them a designated area to bounce and enjoy themselves, free from concerns about older, larger children sharing the space.

David McKillips, President and CEO of CEC Entertainment, shed light on the reasoning behind this new venture in the press release: “In line with our promise to provide unforgettable family entertainment like no other, we have evolved. Families have shared that typical trampoline parks and bounce houses can overwhelm little ones who are surrounded by older kids and teens, so we intentionally crafted our Adventure Zones with younger children in mind.”

This expansion aligns with the increasing awareness of the necessity for children’s physical activity, as highlighted in the press release; research indicates that active play enhances motor skills, social interactions, and overall health. According to the CDC, children require at least 60 minutes of daily exercise—an objective that Adventure Zones are striving to assist families in achieving. McKillips underscores the importance of aligning with these benefits: “Active play has always been fundamental to Chuck E. Cheese, and we affirm that play is a crucial aspect of childhood development.”

Adventure Zones are intended as additional experiences, with pricing ranging from $10 to $18 per child based on the location and day of the visit. Access is included in birthday packages, and Fun Pass Members will soon have the opportunity to upgrade their memberships for unlimited access.

As Chuck E. Cheese broadens its global offerings, the move to introduce Adventure Zones across the U.S. is noteworthy. Locations in Saudi Arabia and Egypt already boast similar attractions, featuring multi-level play structures, zip lines, and climbing walls. In Mexico, Ninja courses and trampolines are currently available, with further active play zones anticipated in countries like El Salvador, Honduras, and Colombia.
