A spectacle and celebration of cultures, the annual Festival of Nations represents more than 30 countries with diverse musical performers, visual artists, and dance groups. This inclusive fest also features food and retail vendors, fashion shows, and additional artists representing dozens of cultures and traditions.
The two-day event will be held August 24 and 25 in Tower Grove Park, featuring headliners Mai Lee, Mannywellz, Lisa Ramey, Mali Music, Brooklyn Saint, and Naledi, as well as an extensive lineup of other musicians. Also performing will be local cultural groups, such as St. Louis Modern Chinese School, St. Louis Irish Arts, Tropical Mood, and others.
The Festival of Nations is made possible by the International Institute of St. Louis, an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for immigrants and refugees in the region to flourish. The IISL provides a variety of professional and educational services, including job placement assistance, free adult English classes, immigration application support, and a plethora of other cultural resources.
“Festival of Nations brings St. Louis together and helps us better understand each other’s cultures while making immigrants and refugees feel more welcome in our city,” said Arrey Obenson, president and CEO of the International Institute in a press release announcing the 2024 lineup.
Welcoming more than 100,000 festival-goers each year, the Festival of Nations is known for highlighting the deep connections fostered through shared multicultural experiences.
“When people from different cultures gather to share music, food, art, and traditions, we get to know each other on a deeper and more personal level. We create a spirit of unity where every culture is seen as unique and special, and no culture is truly foreign,” says a statement on their website.
The Festival of Nations is free to attend for all guests, but VIP Oasis Weekend Passes are available for purchase.
